Objective:  Under the leadership of the Senior Engineer and Senior Vice President, lead all aspects of product/project development for customers and projects assigned.

 

Minimum Requirements:

  • Associates Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering Technology; Bachelor’s degree in either discipline is preferred
  • 3 years of solid modeling experience using SolidWorks, Pro-E, Inventor, or equivalent
  • 2 years of experience in sheet metal product design or manufacturing process design for sheet metal
  • 2 years of project management or project engineering experience. Preference is given to candidates with project management experience in sheet metal and/or job shop environment

  • Ability to manage, develop, schedule, and track multiple projects simultaneously
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Must be detail-oriented
  • Proven analytical, independent decision making and problem resolution skills
  • Strong IS and PC skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Lead all aspects of product/project development for customers and projects assigned in accordance with company standards
  • Determine project requirements by analyzing product design, customer requirements, and all applicable specifications
  • Review all product requirements to ensure full compliance with the company’s capabilities, industry standards, and best practices
  • Create and maintain product and project data; including but not limited to the development and maintenance of BOMs, manufacturing process data, and tooling requirements
  • Plan, schedule, and track project timelines, milestones, and deliverables
  • Effectively communicate project expectations with internal and external team members
  • Ensure accountability for self and cross-functional team members in performance to the project timeline and related deliverables
  • Prepare and communicate project status reports
  • Proactively manage project changes throughout development and product lifecycle
  • Develop and grow relationships with internal and external team members vital to the successful development of products/project
  • Develop best practices and tools for project execution and management
  • Other duties as assigned by Management
